Shopping for Panties 101

Wearing the right panties will give you the confidence of knowing that you look great – no tummy overhang and flabby butt – and that you’e not showing through your clothes.

Here’s a crash course on what you need to know when shopping for panties:

Rise

This refers to the measurement from the waistband to the first horizontal seam of your panty. You may choose from high, medium, low and super low-rise panties depending on your comfort. For example, high rise panties are ideal in holding in a paunch while low rise panties are best with hipster bottoms.

Cut

This refers to how high or low the sides of your panties are. High cut or hi-cut panties offer more ease of movement as they free up much of your legs while low rise panties are the best option if you want more coverage.

• Wear panties in the same color or in a hue close enough to your bottom especially if the garment is thin to keep your knickers from shining through.
• If you are unsure about shade, nude works well with most colored bottoms.
• Don undies close to your skin color if wearing sheer bottoms.
