Shopping for Panties 101
Wearing the right panties will give you the confidence of knowing that you look great – no tummy overhang and flabby butt – and that you’e not showing through your clothes.
Here’s a crash course on what you need to know when shopping for panties:
Rise
This refers to the measurement from the waistband to the first horizontal seam of your panty. You may choose from high, medium, low and super low-rise panties depending on your comfort. For example, high rise panties are ideal in holding in a paunch while low rise panties are best with hipster bottoms.
Cut
This refers to how high or low the sides of your panties are. High cut or hi-cut panties offer more ease of movement as they free up much of your legs while low rise panties are the best option if you want more coverage.
With so many styles available, buying panties can be challenging. There are many different types of panties, each suited to specific clothes. Here’s a guide on panty styles that will have you completing your panty wardrobe in no time:

Pass up on panties faux pas with these rules:
- Wear panties in the same color or in a hue close enough to your bottom especially if the garment is thin to keep your knickers from shining through.
- If you are unsure about shade, nude works well with most colored bottoms.
- Don undies close to your skin color if wearing sheer bottoms.
